Content Body

EBAA and NBAA are once again holding the EBACE International Aircraft Transactions Seminar, which will provide an in-depth review of the tax, legal and regulatory issues involved in business aircraft transactions. The seminar, to be held May 23 at the Geneva Palexpo, will include sessions led by panels of experts on aircraft financing, aircraft transaction fraud/cybercrime, emerging European tax issues, Part NCC (non-commercial operations with complex powered aircraft) and an overview of the current business aircraft market, among others.

Notably, Scott McCreary of McAfee & Taft will lead the session on cybercrime, which is becoming an increasing concern in aircraft transactions. According to McCreary, the large sums of money transferred during escrow closings makes aircraft transaction fraud attractive to cybercriminals.

The one-say seminar starts with a detailed review of the business aircraft market, presented by JetNet IQ managing director Rollie Vincent, and ends with a financing panel that includes Marie-Laure Denier Gassier of BNP Paribas; Jay Mesinger of Mesinger Jet Sales; Dave Labrozzi of Global Jet Capital; and Ford von Weise of Citi Private Bank.
