Rockwell Collins unveiled three King Air Pro Line 21 NextGen upgrade packages today that are approved by both the FAA and EASA and now available via Rockwell Collins-authorized dealers. The three packages have been tailored to meet the needs of all Pro Line 21-equipped King Airs and include ADS-B OUT; synthetic vision; an updated flight management system with localizer performance and approach procedures with vertical guidance (LPV/APV) and radius-to-fix (RF) legs; and the latest version of the Integrated Flight Information System.
While all the packages equip King Airs for NextGen requirements and synthetic vision, one also includes electronic charts and enhanced maps, as well as XM- and Arincgraphical weather capability. Rockwell Collins is also offering its Pro Line Fusion 14-inch touchscreen LCD avionics as an option with the upgrades.
Similar Pro Line 21 upgrade packages are in development for other business aircraft, including Hawkers and the Premier I/IA line, according to Rockwell Collins.
