Content Body

Pentastar Aviation has introduced a new wireless charging solution for business aircraft cabins, it announced at NBAA 2016. The charging unit is produced by Cobalt Aerospace and it accepts aircraft power and eliminates the need for cords and adapters to charge mobile devices that have wireless-charging capability. Pentastar (Booth 1408) has brought the Cobalt device to the NBAA show, and has it integrated on a business aircraft drink rail.

The company is also telling show visitors about its SmartSky Networks 4G STC for the Gulfstream G450 and G550. “Our clients increasingly expect the same level of connectivity in-flight as they experience on the ground and are eager for the latest technology,” said vice president of maintenance operations and advisory services Doug Levangie. He added that Pentastar is “committed to offering solutions that will provide a true office-in-the-sky environment.”
