Avfuel, a fuel and services network of more than 3,000 locations worldwide, has awarded its 18th annual Avtrip scholarship valued at $2,000 to corporate pilot Thomas Johnson. He is enrolled in a master's of business administration program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
“Mr. Johnson’s passion for aviation education is in line with Avfuel’s values and the purpose of this award,” said Marci Ammerman, v-p of marketing for Avfuel.
“As a professional aviator and father of four, I’m always looking for ways to improve myself, and an MBA in aviation from Embry-Riddle will open up all kinds of future opportunities. My wife says, ‘You can never be overdressed or overeducated,’” said Johnson.
Applications for the 2017 scholarship will be available via Avfuel’s website on Dec. 1, 2016. Applicants must be current Avtrip members, have accrued 250 Avtrip points in the previous 24 months, demonstrate an interest in continuing their aviation education and complete all information in the application packet.
