Harrods Aviation Approved as S-92 Service Center

London-based Harrods Aviation recently earned service center accreditation to support the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter. The maintenance and FBO group invested in staff training, equipment and specialist tooling for the S-92 at its London Stansted Airport facility. It already has experience refurbishing and upgrading entertainment systems and interiors on the large-cabin aircraft. 

Sikorsky also provided training to help Harrods run the specialist Alternate Service Life Extension Program along with Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group. During 2016, Harrods worked on six S-92s that required this specific program.

Besides its Sikorsky S-92 and S-76 accreditation, Harrods’s Stansted facility also supports the Leonardo AW139 and Airbus H155 helicopters. It has FBOs at both Stansted and London Luton Airport—both of which include maintenance facilities. It also operates a Honeywell-accredited repair engine shop at Farnborough Airport, also in the London area.
