NBAA’s annual Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference (SDC) kicks off on Tuesday from Texas’s Fort Worth Convention Center, and organizers are anticipating a highly successful event. According to NBAA, the show floor is sold out with a record number of 540 exhibitors, and attendee registration is up 6 percent over last year’s record-breaking show. The number of attendees at this year's show could top 2,800, including nearly 200 first-time visitors.

“Our conference theme is 'Steer Your Career,' and that really just represents being intentional about setting professional goals and taking next steps to reach those goals,” said Danielle Gordon, this year’s NBAA schedulers and dispatchers committee chairwoman and a communications specialist with Pentastar Aviation. “That’s what our educational programming and our networking programming really focus on.”

This year’s show will feature 31 educational sessions and two general sessions, many of which will provide credit under NBAA’s certified aviation manager program or through the SDC training initiative. Thursday night will feature a Ranch and Dance networking session at the city’s famed River Ranch Stockyards.

To give back to the community, on Tuesday afternoon volunteers will gather at the convention center to assemble laundry baskets filled with household cleaning supplies to benefit victims of domestic violence and, for the seventh straight year, show organizers are encouraging attendees to bring unneeded gently used business clothes to donate to local charities Dress for Success Dallas/Fort Worth and Workforce Solutions.
