Global fuel provider Air BP is debuting its RocketRoute Fuel app for the iPhone this week at the 2017 NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference (SDC) in Ft. Worth, Texas. The app, introduced last October for the iPad, allows all general aviation operators to buy fuel directly from the company whether they are an existing customer or not. The app also gives users access to the UK-based company’s global network of aviation fuel locations, payment methods, and the ability to offset carbon emissions through the system. Existing Air BP customers will see benefits in the form of specific pricing as well as links to their aircraft and Sterling Card details.

“We are very pleased to announce the iPhone capability for the RocketRoute Fuel app at SDC 2017," noted Julio Casas, the company’s North American general aviation director. “It will offer general aviation operators added convenience and flexibility. Since [the launch,] users have provided excellent feedback as they experience an even easier fuel purchasing process.”

The free app is available to download from the Apple store, and once users complete a simple registration process, they can request, plan and purchase fuel at any one of more than 800 Air BP locations worldwide, using either the company’s Sterling Card or a regular credit or debit card.

Also at SDC 2017, Air BP is highlighting a recent milestone: becoming the first aviation fuel provider to achieve carbon neutrality for into-plane fueling across its international network of more than 250 Air BP wholly-operated facilities. “Environmental issues are a growing feature on our customer agenda, and we are committed to supporting our operators, airport customers and colleagues in the aviation industry in their goal of working toward a lower carbon future,” said Casas.
