Hawkeye Aircraft Launches Bizjet Productivity Tool

Hawkeye Aircraft Acquisitions has launched a free web-based Business Aircraft Productivity Calculator that can estimate the time savings and added value that a business aircraft can provide over airline travel. According to company president Mike McCracken, this new application was created to fill the void created when NBAA ended sales and support for its Travel$ense software.

Users are able to select travel departure and destination airports, as well as one of three aircraft types: super-midsize jet, large-cabin jet and “My Aircraft.” The first two aircraft types automatically fill in the block speed and hourly cost fields, while the latter one allows users to input their own data into these data fields. Users can also input salary information for C-level executives and upper management. The application then calculates common productivity factors from NBAA and No Plane No Gain reports to determine a value for time saved when using a business aircraft.

“We wanted a simple method that would allow first-time buyers of private travel solutions with an easy way to see the value added, whether its charter, time share or full ownership,” said McCracken. “Also, we felt that it is important for existing flight departments to track these metrics to justify the costs of a business aircraft.”
