Latitude Technologies, which manufactures the DL-150 FANS-over-Iridium satellite data unit and SkyNode Iridium messaging systems, introduced the new SkyNode S200-012 ATS Safety Services satcom at the AEA 2017 show this week. The S200-012 is an Iridium satcom designed for closed (safety critical) and private voice communications with air traffic services (ATS), aeronautical operational control and airline administrative control.
The S200-012 is qualified to DO-160G, DO-178 level D and DO-262B minimum operational performance standards and compliant with ICAO standards and recommended practices (Satcom Voice Guidance Material) as well as FAA Advisory Circular 20-150B (Satvoice Equipment Supporting ATS Communication).
