Duncan Aviation has announced that its Austin, Texas, location is now a full-fledged satellite avionics shop, after the workaway station received approval from the U.S. FAA. Reginald Rutley, who has served the company at its satellite shop in Dallas and at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport location for the past 13 years, was named manager of the newly certified facility. He will also manage the San Antonio workaway station, where he and satellite avionics crew leader Greg Ashpaugh have been performing avionics line maintenance services for the past year.

“We’ve been fortunate to have Reggie leading the Austin shop for years as part of the Dallas satellite facility, and now we’re very excited to have him lead our effort to expand the entire central Texas region,” said Matt Nelson, the MRO’s manager of satellite operations.

Both the Austin and San Antonio facilities will continue to perform ADS-B OUT installations for customers, and both have slots available in 2018 and 2019.
