Waterford, Michigan-based Pentastar Aviation added seven more airframes to the approved model list (AML) for its Honeywell DU-875 flight deck upgrade supplemental type certificate. The additions include the Cessna Citation 550, 560, 560XL and 750; Dassault Falcon 900 and 900EX; and Bombardier Learjet 45 series.
A form-fit plug-and-play LCD upgrade, the DU-857 will replace soon-to-be-obsolete DU-870 CRT displays found in older aircraft. The LCD displays are lighter than the original CRT display, thereby providing fuel savings. Honeywell is offering a $40,000 trade-in incentive through December 31.
“The DU-875 is a low-risk upgrade, increasing display reliability, resolving obsolescence issues and contributing to reduced cost of ownership,” said Jesse Beard, the avionics and engineering manager for Pentastar Aviation, which is an authorized Honeywell dealer. “This offer provides brand-new equipment and a growth path to Primus Elite with enhanced features—including charts, maps and XM Weather—and advanced features such as synthetic vision systems on several of the platforms through additional software and hardware upgrades.”
