Erickson Incorporated appointed Doug Kitani, a seasoned government services executive, to serve as CEO and director, filling on a permanent basis a role that had been held by acting CEO Andrew Mills. Mills, who will continue to serve in an executive capacity for Erickson, took over as acting CEO in May after the company emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection under new ownership, and after former president and CEO Jeff Roberts resigned.
Kitani joins Erickson after leading the global defense services firm IAP Worldwide Services as CEO and director. Before that, he had been involved in portfolio strategies and corporate development for DynCorp International and also held management roles with Honeywell and General Electric. In addition, Kitani brings a background in private equity investment to his new role.
“We are delighted to welcome Doug to the team. As an accomplished aerospace and defense CEO with vast government services experience, Doug brings a unique skill set to Erickson and we feel confident he will be able to leverage Erickson’s unique capabilities into new markets while continuing to support and grow our existing relationships,” said Erickson chairman Jim Continenza.
