BP divisions BP Ventures and Air BP have formed a strategic alliance with online air charter marketplace Victor and have also committed to investing $10 million in the charter broker platform, the companies announced today. In addition, Air BP has inked an agreement to be the preferred fuel supplier for flights arranged through Victor at Air BP locations.
“This investment is part of BP Ventures’ strategy to…accelerate the development, commercial viability and deployment of digital technologies and offers across the BP group,” BP said. “Air BP, which has a growing digital presence, stands to further benefit from this new collaboration.”
Launched in 2011, Victor claims 946 percent revenue growth over “recent years.” Through its cooperation with Air BP, Victor will further develop its digital platform that allows operators to participate in a “more streamlined charter quote, booking and settlement process.” Victor will also offer customers the chance to offset carbon emissions from their flights via BP Target Neutral.
