Enstrom Helicopter has signed a contract for delivery of six of its 480B-G turbine singles to Lom Praha Trade in the Czech Republic. The 480B-G sports a Garmin G1000H avionics suite.
The deal was facilitated by Enstrom's in-country representative, DSA, in Prague and provides for deliveries for two helicopters next year and four in subsequent years. It includes spares, tools and factory pilot and maintenance training.
Lom Praha Trade will be using four of the ships for military pilot training and the other two for civil instruction. Located in Prague, Lom Praha Trade operates as a business broker in helicopter airframe maintenance, maintenance of engines and gearboxes and aviation and ground staff training. DSA has maintained, restored and sold aircraft since 1991 and operates a flight school and aircraft charter businesses, including helicopter EMS.
This deal comes at an opportune time for Menominee, Michigan-based Enstrom, which has delivered just two 480s in the first half versus nine in all of last year, according to data from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).
