Canadian aftermarket manufacturer Ramm Aerospace has received authorization from the FAA for its cabin floor trays for the Robinson R44. Made of aviation-grade thermoformed material, the easily removable trays are durable and lightweight according to the company.
The floor trays are the latest in Ramm’s line of products for the light helicopter, including precut carpet and utility flooring kits, leather controls boot kit, a wipe-clean bulkhead/headliner kit for models with and without air conditioning, and a replacement seat kit with detachable cushions, all of which carry FAA and Transport Canada approval, with EASA and ANAC certification pending.
“The cabin floor tray FAA STC is the sixth STC and we have another six STCs pending,” noted Mike Petsche, the company’s vice president of engineering. “Designing kits with thoughtful features is essential as we bring products to market. We want to offer certified kits that have something unique and creative about them.”
