TAC Air will be expanding its services to its hometown Dallas metroplex, establishing a new location at Dallas Love Field. Working in cooperation with the Texas Historic Commission, the company will transform the former Braniff Airlines operations and maintenance base (known now as the DalFort Aerospace Building) into the Braniff Centre, which will encompass more than 200,000 sq ft of FBO and hangar space on the east side of the airport. The Tac Air FBO will lead the $100 million development project at the 1950s era facility, which will also include retail, restaurants, offices, an auto showroom, and entertainment venues.
The FBO will provide controlled access to 120,000 sq ft of private hangars, which can accommodate the latest big business jets and the executive terminal. It will offer concierge services, including catering from local celebrity chefs, auto detailing, auto-to-aircraft valet, and reservation/local event assistance. The location will also display items from the Braniff archives in public areas. When the FBO opens in the summer of 2019 along with the associated complex, it will be the company’s 15th location.
“Tac Air is excited about the expansion of our FBO network into Dallas and we look forward to welcoming both new and existing customers to our newest facility at the Braniff Centre,” said company vice president and COO Christian Sasfai.
