Content Body

Duncan Aviation has completed the relocation of its Atlanta satellite avionics shop to a new, larger facility. While it will remain at Fulton County Airport-Brown Field, the shop is now located within the Hill Aviation FBO complex, just down the ramp from the previous site.

“One of the most positive aspects of our move is that our new hangar is bigger than our previous one,” stated Edduyn Pita, the location’s manager, “so we are now able to work on large-cabin aircraft inside our hangar.” He added that work can still be performed at customers' hangars, if preferred. The larger size of the location allows for greater capacity, so Duncan is looking to increase its avionics installation staff there.

Duncan noted that it has been a busy year for its 26 satellite and workaway stations, with the dwindling time remaining before the ADS-B equipage mandate takes effect at the end of next year. According to the Nebraska-based maintenance provider, many customers are requesting the upgrade while their aircraft are down for inspections or scheduled maintenance.
