Content Body

Business aircraft interior component manufacturer MSB Aerospace has begun production at its new Savannah, Georgia facility, which puts the Montreal-based company physically close to Gulfstream Aerospace, one of its key customers. The 10,000-sq-ft U.S. production facility, which is expected to produce up to 30 percent of MSB’s North America output this year, mirrors the company’s Montreal site in terms of production and process. MSB holds another 60,000 sq ft in the Savannah building for further expansion.

With the new facility, MSB said its customers benefit from quicker turnaround times, more personalized service, and earlier direct liaison with customers in the product-development lifecycle. It is also purchasing nearly all of its materials in the U.S., reducing potential Customs delays, eliminating currency fluctuations, and negating import taxes.

MSB is manufacturing its full range of products—which include crystal, china, and flatware stowage inserts; single and dual pedestal hi-lo tables; personal device holders; and up-lit glass holders—in Savannah. The first inserts and tables recently came off the line there and have already been delivered to Gulfstream, according to MSB. Products made at its Savannah facility will also be shipped to other completion centers, OEMs, and aircraft owners throughout the U.S., the company added.
