Get Heli has launched an online platform that aims to simplify the helicopter booking procedure and allow for efficient communications between charter brokers and operators. Company CEO Laurent Vallet told AIN that the “real-time pricing on the roadmap is being tested now with several operators and brokers.” He added the platform will be “going live in around one month.”
When a broker creates a request stipulating origin and destination and helicopter size, operators can respond. Get Heli, which can be accessed online or with an app, links to Helipaddy, which was developed under the wing of the same investor as Get Heli, via an API to find pickup/landing points.
Last week at the Air Charter Expo (ACE) in London, Vallet told AIN, “We were very surprised that we got lots of interest from fixed-wing brokers, too, as they get requests for helicopters, and it’s important they can find the best solution and care for a client.”
Get Heli will cover only the UK initially, but Vallet said the company hopes to extend this to the rest of Europe and the U.S. “as soon as possible.” At ACE 2018, the company was seeking partners that could help develop the service. The next stop for the Get Heli team is Helitech, which will be held in Amsterdam next month.
