Beta Fueling Systems will unveil its latest aircraft refueler next week at the International Ground Support Equipment Expo in Las Vegas. According to the North Carolina-based company, the new tanker offers more durability and reliability.
“The Beta team has worked really hard to design and deliver a new 5K refueler,” said Mike D’Angelo, the manufacturer’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We took the time to perform design reviews with experts in the industry and listened to our customers’ feedback, which enabled us to improve and deliver a product that we believe customers will value.”
Among its features are Beta’s engineered aluminum frame for lighter weight, with side modules designed to provide maximum protection from impact, a more narrow chassis and flexible joints to protect pipes and valves. It also comes standard with the company’s all-aluminum filter vessel that requires no future maintenance, and an underwing hose reel with electric rewind. Options include a stainless steel-bolstered tank and a second hose reel for metered fueling into each wing.
The company, which has manufactured refuelers for 45 years, offers a range of trucks with capacity varying from 3,000 to 10,000 gallons.
