Online marketplace Get Heli, which connects charter brokers and operators, is continuing to add early adopters, including Shy Aviation, Heligroup, Smart Aviation, and Halo Aviation, the company’s marketing manager, Stephanie Schultz, told AIN at Helitech.
Schultz said that the company received an “overwhelming amount of positive and helpful feedback from both charter brokers and operators” at the Air Charter Expo at Biggin Hill in September and has used this to tailor and fine tune its product.
The Get Heli platform allows helicopter charter operators to bid on booking requests made by participating brokers. Brokers can find available empty "legs" that match their clients' requirements and get instant updates and live information, reducing lead times.
The company aims to consolidate the fragmented market to reduce overhead for operators and brokers, improving both margins for the operators and price for the user. In addition, it said, by moving their businesses into the digital age helicopter charter brokers and operators can improve speed, efficiency, and reliability.
Get Heli reports that the company is experiencing a growing interest from private jet brokers who wish to join the platform.
