Helicopter EMS provider Life Link III has logged more than 15,000 flight hours and transported over 8,000 patients with its fleet of 10 Leonardo AW119Kx helicopters, Leonardo announced last Monday at the Air Medical Transport Conference.

Life Link III operates from eight bases in Minnesota and Wisconsin and is the largest hospital-based, non-profit consortium program in the United States with 10 member-owners. Life Link III took delivery of its first AW119Kx in 2014. The AW119Kx is equipped with the integrated G1000H flight deck and includes synthetic vision system, moving map, highway in the sky and obstacle/terrain avoidance systems. Life Link III’s AW119Kx fleet is NVG equipped as well.

The AW119Kx has been delivered to customers in the United States, Brazil, Chile, Australia, and China. Nearly 320 AW119s have been ordered to date and they are operated in 40 countries by almost 130 customers; more than 110 Leonardo EMS helicopters are in service in North America across various models. The sole assembly facility for the AW119 is at Leonardo’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania plant.
