Air Culinaire Worldwide has launched a mobile app, ACW Menu, that enables clients to access global menus, in-flight catering tools, and culinary resources—either online or offline. It is available for both Apple iOS and Google Android devices.
“The app was developed to minimize menu fatigue, which is a challenge for everyone in business aviation,” said Air Culinaire senior v-p of sales and marketing Paul Schweitzer. “It provides users with a wide range of menus to consider that are popular alternatives to the routine items commonly ordered. Also, it allows Air Culinaire Worldwide to update or change menus frequently and have those menu items available instantly on the app.”
According to Air Culinaire, the app includes a set of menus available at business aviation destinations served by Air Culinaire Worldwide kitchens or Air Culinaire Worldwide Network vendors. As new menus are developed, users will receive push notifications that new content is available—either as a download for offline access or without download for access while connected to the internet.
In-flight catering tools and culinary resources are also loaded in the app to inform users about upscale plating techniques, cultural influences on cuisine, food safety, and other best practices. Air Culinaire said it plans to add more tools and resources in the future.
