Pilatus distributor Synerjet celebrated its new status as a Honeywell authorized dealer at LABACE 2019 on Wednesday evening, with a plaque presented by Honeywell Aerospace vice-president for Latin America Laurent Memvielle. Synerjet sells and services Honeywell avionics for Pilatus PC-12s and other platforms.
The Honeywell/Synerjet partnership is part of Honeywell’s growth plan in Latin America. Naming Synerjet as an authorized dealer reflects the “partnership experience with Synerjet, its market penetration, its knowledge of clients, and its already strong capabilities,” said Memvielle at the presentation.
Synerjet Group CEO José Brandão responded that he is “honored with the partnership with Honeywell.”
Memvielle came to Brazil with Airbus eight years ago, including a two-year stint at the Helibrás factory at Itajubá, Minas Gerais. After working for Safran in São José dos Campos, he arrived at Honeywell last year.
Honeywell Aerospace’s business covering Latin America is based in São José dos Campos, where the firm performs modifications and upgrades, “with the big focus today being on productivity,” according to Memvielle, aiming at “lower cost and greater availability.”
The most recent upgrade to the São José dos Campos service center is a SPEX pool of available parts. “Any AOG will be able to take from the pool. It opened on August 8, and is starting to operate now,” said Memvielle.
The facility includes a bonded parts warehouse, and “represents a significant investment in Honeywell’s only service center in Latin America. We believe strongly in this market, and focus on this region is important,” concluded Memvielle.
