Textron Aviation has opened a 2,000-sq-ft aircraft parts warehouse in Australia, the Wichita-based airframer announced yesterday. Co-located with Premiair Aviation Maintenance at Essendon Fields Airport (MEB), the new warehouse will hold up to 10,000 parts across the OEM’s Beechcraft, Cessna, and Hawker product lines, a Textron Aviation spokeswoman told AIN.
“This represents another step in our ongoing commitment to Textron Aviation aircraft owners in Australia and across the Asia-Pacific region,” said Textron Aviation senior v-p of parts and programs Brad Thress. Factory-direct parts, shipped locally from Essendon, can be purchased from the company online or through its local sales and support staff.
Premiair Aviation Maintenance is Textron Aviation’s new authorized service facility in Australia. “Customer service is why our customers come to us, so providing spare parts delivery—shipped the same day in most instances—is another way to ensure comprehensive support,” Premiair managing director Paul Montauban said.
Opening of the Australia warehouse comes after Textron Aviation expanded its parts warehouse in Singapore last year to better support customers in Asia-Pacific.
