Content Body

The Vertical Flight Expo & Conference, to be held at the UK’s Farnborough Airport next week (November 5 to 7), is organized by Reed Exhibitions in partnership with the British Helicopter Association (BHA) and replaces the annual Helitech International show, which Reed formerly ran in alliance with the European Helicopter Association (EHA).

The show is set to feature around 75 exhibiting companies, which is roughly half the number present at the 2018 Helitech event held in Amsterdam. None of the leading helicopter manufacturers are exhibiting, but the list does include a broad cross-section of equipment manufacturers and support companies from the rotorcraft sector.

Reed is seeking to broaden the scope for the new show beyond the mainstream helicopter industry. Unmanned aircraft, including the emerging urban air mobility (UAM) sector, are expected to have a higher profile in the new-format annual event. The conference program for Vertical Flight Expo includes a broad array of topics and a strong speaker line-up. The Vertical Connect feature can be used to pre-book meetings between exhibitors and visitors.

Key subjects addressed during the conference will include a global market overview, the future of UAM and infrastructure, airspace and air traffic management, offshore oil and gas, and search and rescue.
