Content Body

Texas-based Uniflight Global (Booth 4445) arrives at Heli-Expo following the recent configurations and completions of Mercy Flight Buffalo’s three new Bell 429s. The work was performed at the MRO and charter operator’s Uniflight West Penn facility in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania (KFWQ). The Part 145 repair station also provides maintenance for the medical airlifter, which operates emergency and non-emergency transport in New York, Pennsylvania, portions of Southeast Canada, and the surrounding region.

Mercy Flight has performed more than 26,000 patient missions over its 35-plus years.

Uniflight Global—an authorized service provider for Airbus (Booth 3432; Static Display 19, 21), Bell (Booth 1231; Static Display 2), and Leonardo Helicopters (Booth 5536), and for FAA, EASA, and DGAC (Mexico) approvals—has its headquarters and main facility, Uniflight Grand Prairie (KGPM), in its namesake Texas town. Its MRO specialties include component overhaul, AOG support, harness fabrication, and maintenance tracking and forecasting.

With sales offices in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Dallas-Fort Worth, the company also provides Part 135 charter and Part 133 external-load operating services from its Uniflight Rome facility in New York (KRME).

Uniflight—which is owned by private investment firm Hawke Aerospace Group—was established as Aviation Services Unlimited in 1982 as a powerline patrol service using three Bell 206Bs and a Cessna 172, before expanding into vegetation management, mine surveying, and later, MRO and charter. It is a member of HAI’s Utilities Powerline and Patrol Committee.
