Content Body

After a year-long site selection process, Gulf Avionics has relocated from Harlingen, Texas, to Kerrville/Kerr County Airport (ERV) in Texas’ Hill Country region, where it now occupies a 7,000-sq-ft hangar. It also plans to create 50 avionics and aerospace jobs in the next five years.

A dealer for OEMs such as Garmin, Honeywell, Trans-Cal, and PS Engineering, Gulf Avionics is looking to tap into the business from 1,500 aircraft owners and operators within an hour flight of ERV. That's in addition to a corridor that encompasses the cities of Austin and San Antonio, with a population of 4.5 million people.

“We devoted nearly a year in our search for a better location, which now provides easy access to a large group of targeted customers, and we expect to continue growing,” said Gulf Avionics v-p of business development Chris Todtenhausen.

Gulf Avionics is owned by E.H. Caddis & Co., which also owns Dallas-based aircraft MRO RBR Aviation.
