Precision Aviation Group’s Keystone Turbine Services announced this week that its two all-digital engine test cells are fully OEM correlated and certified for testing the complete series of Rolls-Royce M250-C47E Fadec engines for both pre- and final testing services. The engine type powers Bell’s 407GXi light single helicopter, the U.S. Navy’s Fire Scout MQ-8C unmanned rotorcraft, and the MD 540F helicopter.
The new capability required a more than $1 million investment, noted Keystone general manager John Fraser. “We are now the second Rolls-Royce authorized MRO center in the world certified to test all variants of the M250-C47E engine, and we look forward to providing this new capability to all operators of the M250-C47E model engine,” Fraser added.
The development also expands Keystone's capabilities to service the complete M250 product line, which also includes turboprop engines, added Precision Aviation CEO David Mast. “Through the addition of our new testing capability, we're now better equipped to provide Rolls-Royce M250-C47E operators complete support to include available rental engine assets,” he said.
