Content Body

Proclaiming “Business aviation is stronger than ever,” Boeing Business Jets (BBJ, Booth 1101, Static A808) marketing director Alex Fecteau said on Monday at NBAA-BACE that a 40 percent increase in preowned executive aircraft transactions last year is “translating into the new airplane market” now. Boeing Business Jets president J.D. Detwiler predicted much of that demand will be answered by the BBJ Max, now that it has returned. The first BBJ Max8 is already in service, he noted, and will be complemented by the forthcoming BBJ Max 7 and Max 9 variants.

Samir Sahgal, Boeing’s director of customer relationship management & analytics, acknowledged that a shortage of pilots could hamper growth, as its recently released Boeing’s Market Outlook for the next 20 years indicated, and said the company is increasing its support for flight schools as part of its response.
