Content Body

Modesto Jet has received FAA approval to operate and manage Part 135 aircraft with 10 or more seats, which allows the California-based private aviation services provider to offer its charter and managed aircraft clients expanded travel options. With the approval, Modesto Jet will add three large-cabin twinjets—a Bombardier Challenger 605 and two Challenger 604s—to its charter certificate.

“This is a considerable milestone for Modesto Jet, as the company is now uniquely qualified to operate larger aircraft,” said operations director Scott Bertram. “We are looking forward to providing our clients with a greater range of travel options and services.”

The company’s existing charter fleet comprises eight turboprops and jets, including Pilatus PC-12s and a PC-24; Beechcraft King Airs; and a Nextant 400XTi. In addition to charter and managed aircraft services, Modesto Jet operates the sole FBO at Modesto City-County Airport-Harry Sham Field and provides aircraft acquisition and brokerage services, fuel sales through Avfuel, and line services.
