Rise Aviation, the sole service provider at North Texas Regional Airport (KGYI), has opened its new FBO terminal. The 10,720-sq-ft, two-story building had been planned since 2017, when the location was known as Lake Texoma Jet Center.
Decorated with artwork of area landmarks from local artists, the FBO includes a passenger lobby with multiple seating areas, refreshment bar, 12-seat conference room, business center, pilot lounge, quiet room, flight-planning area, on-site car rental, and 1,750 sq ft of tenant suites. The FBO also provides 850 sq ft of office space for the airport administration.
The Avfuel-branded FBO has 67,000 sq ft of hangar space that can accommodate ultra-long-range business jets, along with 25 acres of ramp for aircraft parking. A second construction phase will start early next year to add another 22,000-sq-ft hangar and an airside arrival canopy.
“With the growth in the DFW Metroplex continuing to move rapidly towards Grayson County, many business owners or investors considering expanding, relocating, or starting a new venture in Grayson County will arrive at North Texas Regional Airport in a business aircraft," said Rise general manager Mike Livezey. “[Our] new FBO terminal will be an attractive and welcoming 'front door' and customers' first visual cue Grayson County’s elected and business leaders are proactive with planning, investing, and building the infrastructure necessary to accommodate any growth they are considering.”
