Saudi Arabia-based The Helicopter Company (THC) will install Skytrac’s Iridium Certus satcom system in its fleet of Airbus and Leonardo helicopters. The equipment enables Wi-Fi connectivity, low-Earth-orbit satcom, and 4G/LTE cellular communications.

Skytrac (Booth B1420) will provide its SkyWeb automated flight following service and mission monitoring as well as SAFR flight data monitoring, real-time HUMS alerting, Iridium push-to-talk communications, and voice and text messaging. In addition, pilots will be able to access cockpit services such as real-time weather, marine AIS (ship location), notams, and geo-referenced location data via SkyTrac’s Inflight iOS app.

THC (Booth B4099) launched in 2019 and announced orders 20 Airbus H145s and six H160s and 16 Leonardo AW139s at the 2022 Heli-Expo show. The company’s helicopter fleet will support Saudi Arabia’s regenerative tourism and sustainable development efforts, including Vision 2030 infrastructure projects such as Al Ula, Neom, plans for Red Sea region development.
