Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based business aircraft outfitting firm VIP Completions said it has seen an uptick in cabin soft-goods refresh projects. Soft goods encompass upholsteries such as carpets, seat covers, and curtains, as well as cushions and blankets.
According to VIP Completions, the selection of designers, brands, fabrics, leathers, and color schemes define the aesthetic look and feel of an aircraft interior. It added that these choices reflect the tastes and preferences of each individual client.
“We are seeing more and more clients who want to refresh their aircraft interiors without necessarily undertaking the hard work and extended downtime that usually comes with a full-scale refurbishment,” said VIP Completions president Ben Shirazi. “To use a homeowners’ metaphor, it’s like choosing redecoration over renovation.”
While noting that his company is best known for larger aircraft refurbishment projects, he said it is “very good” at the delicate touches. “Our team invests the same high degree of attention and care into all projects, regardless of scope,” Shirazi added. “Aircraft owners wanting to update decors may benefit greatly from a refresh project that is comparatively quick and easy while having a major positive impact on their enjoyment of the in-flight experience.”
