While FlySight and Viewpoint Systems are exhibiting their products separately this week at Heli-Expo 2024, they are also collaborating on product integration. FlySight’s flagship solution, the Opensight Mission Console Open Code, is being integrated into Viewpoint’s Mantis rugged computer. FlySight is demonstrating its products on three demo displays at its Heli-Expo exhibit, and it specializes in C4ISR solutions.
“Opensight is a multi-platform processing, exploitation, and dissemination system created to provide the best support in decision making,” according to FlySight. The system employs artificial intelligence and cognitive algorithms to process and fuse data, and information is presented on mission displays using deep learning methodologies and augmented reality techniques, the company explained, “to provide advanced functionalities for the awareness of the operational scenario, for mission planning, management, and debriefing on the collected data.”
Viewpoint designed the Mantis Mission Computer to run mission management software such as Opensight. Mantis features Ethernet, USB, and serial interfaces, internal H.264 or H.265 video encoder with HD-SDI inputs, integrated gigabit Ethernet switch with five external ports, user-removable solid-state drives, and an optional internally networked second computer.
