Content Body

While up 2% from May, the number of used business jets for sale in June 2025 is down by 2% year over year (YOY) to 1,179, and by 7% over the past six months, according to market analyst Jefferies.

This comes despite an 11% increase YOY in availability of jets less than seven years out of production, Jefferies reported, citing its own analysis and Amstat data. The for-sale inventory of the younger set represents 3.6% of the fleet, still well below norms, but as inventory crept up, used pricing dropped by 8% YOY.

Overall, the number of jets for sale is at 4.7% of the total fleet, counting all models and vintages. Midsize and light jets led the decline in availability, down 3% and 4%, respectively. This offset the 3% increase in heavy jets for sale.

Compared to the same period in 2024, Dassault Falcon jet inventory levels are down 4%, with 24 aircraft for sale. This equates to 4.5% of the Dassault Aviation fleet, compared with 4.8% this time last year. Conversely, Gulfstream aircraft inventory is up 5% YOY, to 59 units for sale. But with growth in fleet, the percentage for sale, 3.2%, remains unchanged.

Textron Aviation’s Cessna Citation for-sale inventory increased by 8%, for a total of 79 jets for sale, or 3.6% of the active fleet. Bombardier inventory went up by 12% to 65 units, representing 3.6% of the fleet. And the for-sale Embraer inventory saw the biggest YOY jump, by 41%, to 41 units, representing 4.1% of the fleet.

Despite inventory growth, Gulfstream pricing gained 2% to $28.8 million, given a 32% increase in G550 prices. Gulfstream was the only one of the five largest OEMs to see this improvement for its used inventory.

Bombardier pricing dropped by 12% to $20.8 million, as Learjet prices fell by 31%. Embraer pricing ebbed by 2% to $12.3 million, with a 7% strengthening for the Phenom 300, mostly offsetting the 15% decline for the Phenom 100. Dassault pricing dipped by 13% YOY, driven by the Falcon 2000LX and Falcon 7X. Used Cessna Citation average list prices are down 14% YOY, led by the CJ3.
