The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has approved Falcon Technic to conduct 120-month base maintenance work on Bombardier BD-700 Global Express and Global 5000 jets. Last week, the Dubai-based company announced the extension of its approved maintenance organization (AMO) certificate.
The approval covers all the key base inspections required for aircraft after 120 months or 4,500 flight hours of operation. Falcon Technic has already been conducting 60-month inspections on Bombardier aircraft, including the Global Express XRS model.
This week, the GCAA added a further amendment to Falcon’s AMO certificate to approve the company to perform wheel maintenance on the Bombardier Global series of aircraft, as well as Embraer Legacy 600s/650s. Now, the company’s certificate also covers non-destructive testing using eddy current inspection. These specialized approvals expand the company’s in-house shop capabilities, and operators and private jet owners will benefit from a broader range of certified services under one roof.
In July, the GCAA added line support for Dassault’s Falcon 900EX EASy aircraft to Falcon Technic’s AMO. By the end of 2025, the company also aims to have secured clearance for Bombardier’s Challenger 604 and 605 models, as well as for the Embraer ERJ 145.
