In its second acquisition since becoming a privately owned company on March 31, Acron Aviation has purchased Trakka Systems, which manufactures video transmission and compression technologies and integrated electro-optical and infrared imaging systems.
The TrakkaCam TC-300 Gen II EO/IR imaging system, TrakkaBeam TLX high-intensity searchlight, and TrakkaMaps TM-100 mapping and video management system are included in Trakka’s Total Mission Solution product line, which is popular among public service operations for aerial surveillance, emergency response, and law enforcement.
Acron Aviation is keeping the Trakka brand and will enhance Trakka’s outreach to more OEMs and end-users by introducing its products to Acron’s global customer base. Trakka engineering, manufacturing, and service operations are located in Australia, the U.S., and Sweden.
“Trakka shares many synergies with Acron’s mission and values, not least its foundation for relentless innovation,” said Acron Aviation CEO Alan Crawford. “Trakka’s integrated portfolio of aircraft mission equipment complements Acron’s current portfolio and aligns with our vision to become the top-tier partner of choice to customers in the aviation industry.”
