Greek charter broker Zela Aviation is arranging scheduled flights to the island of Syros during the 2026 summer tourism season (April to October). Building on services it launched this year, the flights will connect Dimitrios Vikelas Syros National Airport (LGSO) with Thessaloniki in northern Greece.
Direct flights will start on April 9 with a twice-weekly service, increasing to four weekly flights between June and September. The only alternative flights with scheduled airlines involve making connections at other airports, and the sea voyage to the island takes between two and four hours.
Zela said the flights will be operated by its partner Sky Express using either the ATR 72-500 or the ATR 42-500 turboprop twins, which offer capacity of between 40 and 70 seats. The company is relaunching the schedule with the agreement of Syros municipal authorities.
The company, which has offices in Greece, Cyprus and the UK, also arranges private jet and helicopter charters. It said that some of the demand for the flights to and from Thessaloniki Airport (LGTS) is for business travelers.
