Content Body

Aviation safety services specialist Baines Simmons has launched a continuing airworthiness management organization (CAMO) within its operations group, to be a unified provider of regulatory consulting, specialist training, and digital-driven services for aircraft operators and owners. The company said the move establishes a single framework linking compliance, safety management, human factors, and technical oversight to improve reliability and provide measurable safety outcomes.

The service incorporates software tools for maintenance planning, technical services, asset management, and real-time aircraft status tracking. These capabilities, combined with AI-enabled analytics and established governance frameworks, allow operators to reduce downtime, optimize maintenance programs, and achieve data-driven reliability improvements, the company said.

Supporting business, commercial, special-mission, and defense users, the CAMO provides coverage for both airplans and rotorcraft. According to Baines Simmons, combining advisory services with CAMO allows operators to close gaps between regulation and real-world operational decision-making.

“Launching a CAMO service is about strengthening outcomes for our clients,” said operations director Sandra Hill, adding that the approach maintains a high bar for compliance and safety. Director Bob Simmons said the addition of CAMO provides “greater depth, broader services, and the governance needed to deliver consistent, transparent results.”

Baines Simmons said the unified structure supports alignment with EASA, UK CAA, and other global regulatory frameworks while expanding compliance capacity and subject-matter expertise for operators.
