After a major upgrade last year to its SR series single-engine piston airplanes that included Safe Return Emergency Autoland, Cirrus has unveiled new features for the 2026 SR20, SR22, and SR22T G7+. These include avionics, paint colors and designs, and—for the SR22—the four-blade composite propeller that has been available on the SR22T.

New for 2026 are upgraded USB-B and -C ports, with two 60-Watt ports in the front and two 100-watt ports in the rear, capable of powering a portable Starlink antenna. Occupants can make voice calls and send and receive text messages using the optional Cirrus Global Connect Iridium satcom system, which also provides weather information, now with more weather products and automatic updates every five minutes.

The Garmin-based Cirrus Perspective Touch+ avionics suite adds a selection of traffic pattern entries on the moving map, and these can be coupled to the autopilot.

Cirrus has introduced two new premium collections for Carbon and Platinum liveries, including three new paint colors: Tangerine, Maldives, and Viridian.

“The 2026 SR Series G7+ provides our customers with more choice, more connectivity, and more pilot convenience combined with revolutionary safety systems, such as the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System and Safe Return Emergency Autoland,” said CEO Zean Nielsen. “The 2026 SR Series continues to evolve in lockstep with our owners’ missions and serves as a valuable extension of their businesses and lifestyles.”
