Duncan Aviation is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, and the family-owned company plans a year-long celebration. Under the theme “The Passion for Aviation. The Heart of a Family,” the company is recognizing its history, people, and contributions to the aviation community.
The company began as a single-hangar operation in 1956 and has since grown since into a global aircraft services provider offering maintenance, modification, avionics, interior, and support services.
Chairman Todd Duncan, grandson of company founder Donald Duncan, said, “My grandfather…laid the foundation of Duncan Aviation with a simple belief: take care of customers and each other, and success will follow. My parents, Robert and Karen, built on that foundation and shaped the business culture we’re proud of today.”
He noted that the company’s culture has been shaped by an emphasis on trust, craftsmanship, innovation, and long-term relationships with customers and employees.
As part of the anniversary activities, Duncan Aviation invites members of the business aviation community to participate in creating interactive online community art pieces. The initiative is intended to highlight the individuals and stories that have helped shape both the company and the industry over the past seven decades.
