Business aviation services group ExecuJet, is celebrating 20 years of operations in Germany and intends to mark the occasion with a big presence at the Aero Friedrichshafen show next week. Through a process of expansion and acquisition, the Luxaviation subsidiary has built what it says is Europe's largest chain of FBOs that includes prominent facilities at Berlin Brandenberg Airport (EDDB) and Munich International Airport (EDDM).
Since establishing its first German FBO at what was then Berlin Schönefield Airport in 2006, ExecuJet has continued to expand its in-country footprint. Two years after its inauguration, the Berlin FBO was redesigned and enlarged, before ExecuJet was selected by Berlin Airports in 2010 to operate the site’s general aviation terminal. This facility was itself reopened in 2023 following a refurbishment.
In 2016, ExecuJet’s German presence expanded further with the acquisition of Munich’s largest FBO. The company said this base was significantly expanded in 2020 after it acquired another operator's facilities at the airport.
According to Luxaviation CEO Patrick Hansen, Germany is one of Europe's most "dynamic and mature" business aviation markets. He added that ExecuJet’s two-decade milestone reflects the team’s “strong reputation for reliability, safety, and service excellence.”
