Embassair, an FBO at Miami–Opa Locka Executive Airport (KOPF), has been sold to Brazilian luxury real estate developer/operator JHSF. The $50 million facility—one of five major service providers on the field—opened in February 2023 and features a 25,000-sq-ft terminal with four private boarding lounges with direct access to the ramp; a covered garage with access to the lounges and ramp; an atrium lobby with a 28-foot-high ceiling; dining lounge; a trio of snooze rooms with individual bathrooms, full beds, and televisions; crew gym; two flight-planning areas; and a pair of conference rooms.

An adjoining 60,000-sq-ft hangar space can accommodate ultra-long-range business jets, and the complex offers nearly 3 acres of ramp space.

JHSF owns and operates the dedicated business aviation gateway São Paulo Catarina International Executive Airport (SBJH), and is an organizer of the annual Catarina Aviation Show, slated to take place there next month. According to company executives, the acquisition of the Florida FBO fuels its international growth in the business aviation market, and hints at the start of a new U.S. FBO network.

“We are expanding our presence in key markets and strengthening our position on strategic routes for executive aviation clients,” said JHSF CEO Augusto Martins. “The FBO in Miami is directly integrated with [SBJH], enhancing service levels and ensuring a more complete client experience, from departure in Brazil to arrival in the United States.”
