Content Body

Following the unveiling of the super-midsize Embraer Praetor 600E in February, Brazil’s ANAC, EASA, and the FAA have approved the update to the twinjet’s type certificate. New features include cabin upgrades, including the Smart Window, and the addition of runway overrun awareness and alerting system technology for the Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics suite. Embraer is also updating the midsize Praetor 500 to 500E configuration and expects approval by year-end.

In the 600E, the cabin features a 42-inch Smart Window 4K OLED touchscreen display opposite the divan. In addition to movie and virtual meeting content, the display shows outside views delivered by three external cameras. Embraer has upgraded the 600E’s cabin management system to Lufthansa Technik’s Nice, which includes voice control of lighting, window shades, cabin temperature, and other features. These can be combined via the Nice app to set multiple features, such as lowering the shades and selecting a suitable overhead lighting environment for watching movies.

The 600E galley is updated with more space for storage, garbage disposal, and ice drawer volume, as well as storage space across from the galley that can also accommodate a crew lavatory.

Embraer’s in-house seating arm redesigned Praetor seats with forward-tracking headrests, dual lumbar support, electric-assist with six independent adjustments, larger leg rest, new color and stitching options, and a simpler fold-flat process for seats in the forward cabin.
