The factory-installed waste servicing system requires draining the lavatory tank through the ventral fuel tank service area, using an external connection that depends on a secondary pressurization plug commonly referred to as the “donut.”

• If the lavatory tank valve is leaking, removing the plug can result in uncontrolled discharge
• Reinstallation of the plug is often inconsistent or overlooked during ground servicing

If the secondary pressurization plug is not installed, the Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) restricts the aircraft to:

• Unpressurized flight only
• Maximum altitude of 15,000 feet

Controlled, Cleaner Operation

A spring-loaded internal fluid valve remains closed until the ground service cart is properly connected. The valve is then opened using a simple external lever — preventing accidental discharge and significantly reducing the risk of spills.

Simplified Closure

Once servicing is complete, closing the system is as easy as securing the hinged cap with the over-center handle — ensuring a consistent, reliable seal every time.
