Scott Drennan is now the president and CEO of start-up business jet developer Otto Aerospace, succeeding CEO Paul Touw, according to a statement released by the company this morning.
Touw was appointed CEO of Otto Aerospace in 2022. In mid-2025, Otto Aerospace unveiled the Phantom 3500, an all-composite light jet with a windowless cabin and midsize jet performance by leveraging natural laminar flow. The twinjet promises a range of 3,200 nm with four passengers, with an 800-cu-ft, flat-floor cabin that is 6.4 feet tall and 7.5 feet wide. Service entry is targeted for 2030.
Drennan was promoted to CEO from COO. His background includes v-p of innovation and advanced concepts at Bell, chief R&D officer at Supernal, and FAA designated engineering representative.
“Great companies are built in chapters, and Paul was exactly the leader we needed to guide Otto through its formative years,” said Otto Aerospace board chair Dennis Muilenburg. “He had the vision to see what this technology could become and the conviction to build a great organization around it. On behalf of the board, we are deeply grateful for his lasting contribution to this company and to the future of aviation. Now, as our company transitions from conceptual design to building and flying aircraft, Scott is exactly the right leader for our next chapter.”
