DAS Aviation is pleased to announce that Joshua Collins has been named General Manager of its Cedar Hill facility. In this role, Collins will lead the site and help expand capabilities across DAS Aviation’s comprehensive platform, with a focus on operational excellence and the continued advancement of the company’s AOG support services.
Collins brings more than 20 years of aviation experience spanning aircraft structures, quality, production, and repair station leadership. A graduate of Spartan College of Aeronautics, he began his career in heavy aircraft structural repair and advanced through a series of increasingly senior roles that established him as a respected leader in maintenance operations, FAA compliance, and organizational performance.
Over the course of his career, Collins has served as Chief Inspector, Quality Manager, Production Manager, Accountable Manager, Operations Manager, and Director of Operations. His background combines hands on technical expertise with executive leadership experience in component repair and overhaul operations, quality systems, workforce development, and process improvement.
Among his most notable accomplishments, Collins led the integration of four repair stations into a single operation under one brand. That effort included consolidating operations, standardizing procedures, aligning manuals and ERP systems, integrating inventory, and creating a unified structure built for efficiency, accountability, and customer service.
He also played a key role in building a highly regarded AOG support repair station operation, where he led a facility relocation, implemented new equipment and workflows, streamlined operations, and helped develop a lean, high performing team recognized for delivering during critical aircraft on ground events.
Since joining DAS Aviation through the AQRD acquisition, Collins has continued to strengthen the Cedar Hill operation by implementing best practices, improving workflow discipline, and supporting a culture centered on safety, quality, efficiency, and customer responsiveness. His leadership comes at an important time for DAS Aviation as the company increases its workforce and adds shifts to help turn repairs and overhauls as safely and as quickly as possible.
“Joshua understands how to build an operation that performs with urgency, discipline, and consistency,” said Dan Podojil, Senior Vice President of DAS Aviation. “As we continue expanding our workforce and adding shifts, our focus is simple. We want to turn repairs and overhauls as safely and as quickly as possible so we can be there for our customers when they need us most. Joshua’s leadership will help us continue improving efficiency, strengthening our capabilities, and delivering the speed and service our customers depend on.”
