Mint Turbines Gains PT6 Engine Overhaul Authorizations

Engine MRO provider Mint Turbines has been named a Pratt & Whitney Canada designated overhaul facility for the PT6A and PT6T engine series, adding to the company’s roster of OEM authorizations. The designation, announced on Monday, requires the Stroud, Oklahoma-based operation to satisfy the manufacturer’s quality, technical, and regulatory benchmarks. Operators now have access to OEM-backed overhaul work supported by field-service teams and round-the-clock customer support.

Rob Ruck, president and chief operating officer of M International, Mint Turbines’ parent company, said the designation reflects the company’s sustained investment. “This authorization represents years of investment in our people [and] our systems, and our unwavering commitment to doing things the right way,” he said. “We are truly honored to become a part of the prestigious designated overhaul facility network.”

Mint Turbines has been in business since 1981, performing engine overhaul, repair, hot-section inspections, testing, and field-service work for commercial, government, defense, and special-mission customers in more than 40 countries. The P&WC authorization adds to Mint Turbines’ existing relationships with General Electric, Ozark Aeroworks, and, through sister company Airborne Engines in Canada, Rolls-Royce.
