FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford is kicking off an extended “Meet the Regulators” session at the Horizon Stage during the opening day of NBAA-BACE 2026. Scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the session will feature a one-on-one conversation between NBAA senior v-p of government affairs Kristie Greco Johnson and Bedford that will delve into top issues affecting business aviation.
“We look forward to a substantive conversation about progress with ATC modernization, advances in medical certification, the updated oxygen mask requirements, and other issues that matter most to the business aviation community,” Greco Johnson said. The session comes weeks after the FAA rescinded single-pilot exemptions for certain legacy Cessna Citation models.
In addition to the discussion with Bedford, the Meet the Regulators session will include a panel of other key leaders at the FAA, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Department of Transportation (DOT). The panel will delve further into major rules and regulatory changes across the agencies.
Joining Greco Johnson in moderating the panel will be NBAA senior v-p of operations, Heidi Williams. Panelists include Ludovic Aron, the EASA representative in the U.S.; Dan Edwards, assistant secretary for aviation and international affairs at the DOT; Rebecca Guy, FAA deputy assistant administrator for the Airspace Modernization Office and chief technology officer; and Caitlin Locke, associate administrator for the FAA’s Aviation Safety Organization.
